The Helen McLoraine Scholarship Fund was established in memory of Helen M. McLoraine, a pioneer in the oil industry and a woman who embodied the Girls Incorporated mission of inspiring all girls to be strong, smart, and bold. The scholarship fund was established to carry on her legacy by inspiring girls to be active in community service, strive for higher education, and gain advanced skills and knowledge they need to realize bright futures. The Scholarship fund provides competitive awards to girls who have participated in Girls Inc. of Metro Denver programs. They are designed to make post-secondary education more accessible to young women by offsetting financial costs, as well as inspire girls to pursue rewarding careers.

Women's Foundation's The Girls Leadership Council
The Girls' Leadership Council (GLC) gives 20 rising juniors the unique opportunity to become community leaders and philanthropists each summer. Over six days, The GLC will conduct site visits with nonprofits, meet local legends and leaders, build meaningful relationships, and go through an entire grantmaking process. Participants leave the program empowered and equipped to address and impact their own schools and communities.
Through this program girls develop leadership skills and learn about issues affecting women and girls in Colorado during a challenging, hands-on, on site summer program July 23rd-July 29th on the University of Denver campus. The application deadline was March 1, 2017.
