Colorado Child Care Contribution Credit Extended through 2010!
A 50% Colorado State Income Tax Credit is available to donors who make monetary contributions of $500 or more to Girls Inc. of Metro Denver (GIMD). The credit is available under the provisions of the Colorado Child Care Contribution Credit, created for the purpose of promoting child care in Colorado. The effect of the credit is that 1/2 of your donation to GIMD is offset by a reduction of your Colorado income taxes. In addition you are still able to claim your full contribution as a charitable deduction on your federal income tax return if you itemize deductions.
