| Why We Love Elizabeth Lopez: Lilo, as she is known in the Youth Center has been a UCD work study volunteer since September 2009 in the Youth Center. This is her first real 'job' and it's always nerve-racking starting something new, especially when young people are watching. We think Lilo has displayed great qualities in leadership and allowing herself to learn along the way. Since this is new to her, she has really shown interest in what Girls Inc. stands for and is very inquisitive with instructors and girls. She is always engaging herself in activities with the girls, which shows that she understands what Girls Inc. stands for and she appreciates it.
Who's The STRONGest Person You Know: The STRONGest person I know is my grandmother. She was diagnosed with breast cancer a few years ago and she keeps fighting every day.
What's The SMARTest Thing You Have Ever Heard: If you don't go after what you want, you'll never have it. If you don't ask, the answer is always no. If you don't step forward, you're always in the same place.
What's The BOLDest Thing You Have Ever Done: The BOLDest thing I have ever done is try out for cheerleading squad. IT was something I had never tried before and I have extreme stage fright. Then once I made it, I became a flier which was challenging as well because I am afraid of heights.
