| Why We Love James Walton, MyCo Huynh, Vanessa Avitia : We love Vanessa, My-Co and James for so many reasons – they each bring something special to Girls Inc.! In addition to being proactive and helpful in the Youth Center's All Together Girl class, Vanessa created and taught various lessons on first aid and hygiene. During My-Co's fourth summer at Girls Inc., she is volunteering 350 hours during our 9-week session – basically 8 hours a day, 5 days a week - assisting in three classes and with our Development team. James is assisting in smART and Earth Girl in the Youth Center, most notably creating and facilitating a lesson where girls collected bugs and observed them through a microscope and a lesson where girls learned how petroleum is removed from birds during an oil spill. We are so grateful for what all three of these amazing volunteers bring to Girls Inc.! Vanessa, My-Co and James, thank you for all you do!

MyCo: Conquering my fear of rollercoasters by riding the boomerang at Elitch Gardens last month.
Vanessa: Going to college.
