Facilities Caretaker

Maintain general appearance and cleanliness of facilities through housekeeping and light maintenance for buildings and grounds.

Principal Responsibilities
Various operations duties including but not limited to:

• Walk through building to identify areas in need of cleaning or other repair projects to keep the center clean and safe.
• Keep center supply closets and other shared spaces organized.
• Make sure janitor closets, tools, and other building supply areas are properly stocked and tidy.
• Take items to the recycling dumpster as necessary.
• Keep grounds and parking lot free from broken glass, trash, and other dangerous materials.
• Tend outdoor flowers and plants as needed.
• Maintain shed storage space and perform inventory periodically.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.

Skill & Abilities:
• Ability to identify building needs.
• Moderate physical effort required: standing/walking, climbing ladders, and lifting moderately heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
• Dependable and punctual.
• Flexible.
• Detail-oriented.
• Likes to keep busy.
• Positive, friendly, and outgoing.
• Knowledgeable and cautious of safety requirements.
• Enjoys working in dynamic environment that is centered on positive development of youth.
• Valid Driver's License or state-issued ID.

Orientation and Training:
New volunteers must complete general Volunteer Orientation session as well as facility tour/walk-through with Operations Team

Time Commitment:
3-5 hours per week. Applicants able to commit to 3+ months preferred.

Age Requirements:
Available to applicants 18 and older
