Girls Inc. of Metro Denver Announces 2024 Catalyst for Girls Winners
Denver, CO – March 28, 2024 – Girls Inc. of Metro Denver is proud to announce the recipients of the 2024 Catalyst for Girls Awards, honoring remarkable community partners who have made significant contributions to the advancement of girls. Their outstanding contributions have helped break down barriers, foster confidence, and pave the way for girls to achieve their fullest potential.
The 2024 Catalyst for Girls Award winners are:
Colorado Rockies Baseball Club, Community Partner of the Year – Colorado Rockies Baseball Club provided opportunities for girls to see a major sports league invest in their future. The Colorado Rockies Baseball Club’s commitment to youth-serving organizations and Girls Inc. of Metro Denver provided more than 150 girls hands-on opportunities to see a career in sports, experience Coors Field, training sessions, charity night, and monetary investment in the organization.
Prologis, Corporate Partner of the Year – Corporate Partner of the Year – Global scale with local impact, for many years, Prologis’ Denver Office has been an active partner to Girls Inc. of Metro Denver. Last year Prologis took over Winter Wonderland, providing holiday gifts to girls’ families and ran the Winter Wonderland experience for the girls. Employees donated 240 hours to volunteering through programs, skill-based volunteering, and board leadership.
Lisa Barker, Ball Aerospace (retired), Individual Partner of the Year – Barker, a dedicated STEM leader, has been a volunteer with Girls Inc. of Metro Denver’s Eureka! program for seven years. She dedicates more than 200 hours annually to ensure girls have experiences and the opportunities to succeed in STEM fields.
“We are thrilled to honor these remarkable partners for their dedication and leadership for our girls,” said Girls Inc. of Metro Denver CEO, Kayla Garcia. “Their passion and commitment serve as an inspiration to us all, and we are grateful for their partnership to create a more equitable and inclusive world for girls.”
The 2024 Catalyst for Girls Awards will be presented at My Bold Future Luncheon on May 22, 2024, where the winners will be celebrated.
