Girls Inc. High School and College staff help girls reach their full potential. Through intentional, research-based programs, Girls Inc. high school & college girls learn skills to be healthy, independent, and successful adults.  At Girls Inc., girls receive year round, academic support and participate in exclusive community trips and events. Staff also delivers programs during school or after school virtually. Girls Inc. of Metro Denver is recommended by Denver Public Schools for workshop delivery.

Girls Inc. also provides support during the transition into post secondary education. In addition to our college preparedness workshops and college women’s group, Girls Inc. of Metro Denver offers $50,000 in scholarships each year.

Broncos Empowerment Summit

The Denver Broncos featured Girls Inc. of Metro Denver in their Empowerment Summit Digital Learning Series, a digital program providing access to resources for personal and professional development for high school-aged female students. All sessions aimed to provide young women with skills and tools to benefit them today and in the future.

Girls Inc. of Metro Denver Scholarship Program

The Girls Inc. of Metro Denver Scholarship Program includes multiple endowed scholarship funds that make post-secondary education more accessible to Girls Inc. participants by offsetting financial costs, as well as inspire girls to pursue rewarding careers. Available scholarships for the 2021 year include:
Helen McLoraine Teen Leadership Scholarship
Helen McLoraine Strong, Smart, and Bold Scholarship
Helen McLoraine Collegiate Scholarship
Dyan Foss STEM Scholarship
Tiffany K. Payne and Matt Mann Community College Scholarship

To be eligible for scholarships, you must be in 10th, 11th, 12th grade or in college, and be a current or former Girls Inc. member. You must have a 2.0 or higher GPA. The applications for all Girls Inc. of Metro Denver Scholarships are due Friday, January 29th at 5:00pm.  Application requirements include a personal essay, an official school transcript, two letters of recommendation, and a required finalist interview on March 6th, 2021. Note: Programs require nominal fees. Fees are based on a sliding scale – no girl is ever turned away because of inability to pay.
