Thursday, January 6th, 5:45pm-6:30pm – Rockies Baseball Networking Event – Meet women who work in the business side of Rockies Baseball, plus Dinger, the Rockies mascot! Giveaways and snacks will be provided, and an opportunity to learn about careers in professional sports!

Saturday, February 8th, 12:30pm-3pm – THRIVE – Run by Girls Inc. participants, this group is all about how to express yourself, manage stress, and have fun with art. Meet new people and enjoy creative projects! Lunch will be provided.

Tuesday, February 11th, 12:30pm-1:30pm – College Womxn’s Group – This event is for college folks and tasty lunch will be provided. This month, we will be talking about resources and strategies to take good care of your mental health in college. Location is currently being finalized so please RSVP to smcgill@gidenver.org so we can update you on the location!

Tuesday, February 11th, 6pm-8pm – Valentine’s Day Healthy Sexuality Celebration! Party + Helpful sexual health information = A night you don’t want to miss! Join us for prizes, demonstrations, games, snacks, community resources and free safer sex supplies such as condoms and dental dams. Get your questions answered about anatomy, consent, gender and sexuality, birth control, protection against STDs and STIs, and more! Play fun games and do hands-on activities! Meet folks from community organizations that provide reproductive health services and resources for healthy relationships! Please RSVP to smcgill@gidenver.org

Thursday, February 13th, 6pm-8:30pm – #Adulting Night – Health Care – How to get access to and pay for health care changes often, and there are a lot of things to consider. Learn about different kinds of insurance and health coverage, and the current rules and laws both nationally and locally. Learn about how to choose a primary medical or mental health care provider, as well as when to use an Urgent Care facility or hospital emergency room. Dinner will be provided. Thursday, February 20th, 5pm-7pm – Yoga Night – Come try out yoga, a great way to strengthen and stretch your body, while creating relaxation and stress-free vibes for your mind! Wear comfortable clothing, we will provide the yoga mats and water bottles you can use. We will also have some health and wellness prizes to give away to all participants! Saturday, February 29th, 9am-12pm – Mock Interviews – Practice your interview skills to prepare for scholarship and job interviews with Denver professionals from a variety of fields! Get feedback and tips from experts who are familiar with what employers and scholarship committees are looking for in an applicant interview. Highly recommended for Girls Inc. scholarship applicants, so mark your calendars for this event if you applied this year! RSVP to smcgill@gidenver.org and wear your professional attire. Snacks will be provided.

Last but not least, Save the Date for the 2020 Spring Break College Trip! This year the trip will be April 1st, 2nd, and 3rd and we are going to New Mexico! More details and an information meeting coming in March, but space is limited! We are taking advance RSVPs to smcgill@gidenver.org

Looking to bring educated, trained experts to your school? Then inquire with Girls Inc. of Metro Denver about program opportunities. Our staff will come and deliver program during school or after school. Girls Inc. of Metro Denver is recommended by Denver Public Schools for our workshop delivery.
