#Adulting Night: Make Your Time Work

Thursday, September 19th, 6pm-8:30pm

Our #Adulting series, by request from Girls Inc. participants, is all about the skills you need to succeed now, and for the rest of your life! One of those key skills is how to manage your time and make it work for you! With things like school, work, family, friends, and other clubs, groups, and activities, that can be a lot to manage. Get ideas and techniques on how to use calendars, reminders, planners, and all the tools you can use to keep track of what’s important to you and use your time wisely!

Workin’ It Out: High Energy Fitness Class

Thursday, September 26th, 6pm-7:30pm

Get flexible, build strength, and learn simple and fun high-energy fitness techniques with guest instructor Sam Morse, who some of you may have met at the Kick Back Event when she did a mini-workout!

Teen Leadership Board Kickoff

Saturday, September 28th, 10am-3pm

This event is the kickoff for the year for the Teen Leadership Board (TLB) and is for college and high school womxn accepted to the TLB! The TLB is a group of leaders who advise the Girls Inc. Board of Directors on programming, practice their public speaking skills to represent Girls Inc. in the community, and fight for justice for womxn in Colorado and beyond by getting involved in rallies, visiting legislators, and making change!

National Association for College Admission Counseling College Fair

Sunday, September 29th, 10am-2:30pm

Meet with representatives from hundreds of in-state and out-of-state colleges and find out about the options they offer. Girls Inc. will provide brunch before the fair and transportation to and from the fair. We will leave Girls Inc. by 10:30am and return by 2:30pm. Programming

Health & Sexuality Workshops
This component, for participants in the 9th-12th grade, includes a series of two interactive, skill-building sessions that focus on the motivation and skills needed to maintain a healthy and positive sexuality.

High School Prep Workshops
Ready to succeed in high school? This component is for participants in the 9th and 10th grade. You’ll explore your potential, bond with peers, acknowledge fears and feel ready for high school.

College Prep Workshops
Advanced, hands-on learning opportunities for college admissions, resumes, financial aid, scholarships and interview skills needed to complete portfolios for college admissions.

Girl & Family College Tours
Prospective students and their parents/guardians will take campus tours to learn about the facilities, as well as student life, culture on campus, academics, and programs offered by the institution

Spring Break College Tour
Prospective students will tour colleges and universities across Colorado.
