ABOUT OUR PROGRAMS FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL GIRLS

Through high impact after school and summer programs, Girls Inc. of Metro Denver’s Middle School Program equips girls to navigate any gender, economic, and social barriers to success they may face. Through our girls-only, center-based programs, girls are recognized for their achievements, encouraged to take healthy risks, and exercise leadership skills in a safe space. Adult staff and volunteers trained in an approach grounded in a belief in girls’ rights and abilities fosters trusting, long lasting relationships. Girls Group, healthy living, advocacy & leadership, social emotional learning, economic literacy, and academic tutoring are among the many programs offered by the Middle School Program team.

How old does my girl need to be to enroll in middle school programs?

Girls must be in or entering 6th grade to enroll in both our after-school and summer camp programs. The maximum age eligible to enroll in our elementary school programs is 15 or 8th grade. We offer additional programs for girls in 9th grade through college.

Programs fees for all of our programs are offered on a sliding scale based on your household income. We are proud to share that no girl is ever turned away due to inability to pay.

After-school programs: Transportation from school to our center may be available if 5 or more girls attend Girls Inc. from your school, with consideration of distance from our center and school end time. Summer: No transportation to the center is provided. Girls must be dropped off and picked up
