Dear Girls Inc. of Metro Denver Community,

March demonstrated the power of partnerships. Starting on March 1, our team was out in the community to share our work and that continued through the entire month. From Girls & Science to Women’s History Month, we provided opportunities for our girls and looked to possibilities of the future, thanks to our partners. As I reflect back upon all we accomplished this month, I extend my deepest gratitude to our partners who helped amplify our work and ensure our Denver Metro community and beyond, know the power of Girls Inc. of Metro Denver. Read More.

  • Through our Girls & Science partnership with CBS Colorado, 1,215 girls received free Girls thINC Outside the Box activity kits focused on STEM.
  • Alongside Boys & Girls Club Alliance, Colorado Children’s Campaign, and REC, Girls Inc. of Metro Denver testified for HB24-1331 to provide grant funding for out-of-school programming.
  • We advocated at the capitol as proud members of the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce to continue to advance women in business and gender equity.
  • We announced our 2024 scholars who will receive college scholarships to help eliminate the financial barrier of higher education, thanks to donors who have created scholarships to invest in girls.
  • We announced our 2024 Catalyst for Girls awardees, Colorado Rockies Baseball Club, Prologis, and Lisa Barker who will be celebrated at My Bold Future luncheon.
  • We welcomed Mayor Mike Johnston, along with along with a panel of amazing female entrepreneurs to celebrate Women’s History Month and female leaders who have built and scaled businesses.
  • Volunteers provided more than 400 hours of time to support our programming and mission. Mortenson Construction volunteers turned our hallway into a beautiful experience for our girls to be greeted with each day.

March came in like a lion and out like a lamb, but we know we are just getting started on many more bold ventures to come. Thank you for your partnership and investment in Girls Inc. of Metro Denver.
